Thank you @TexasTechFB, @JoeyMcGuireTTU and all the FB staff, for making a dream come true for Red Raiders. So many great moments during this season, but the singing of the Matador song after the championship presentation will be one I'll forever cherish.

We are encouraged that at least two of the P4 commissioners are finally going on the record and publicly engaging, rather than working in the shadows through back-room deals, dirty politics, and media leaks. We are hopeful that this can finally be the beginning of an honest, open, and constructive discussion.
The problems in college sports will be solved through conversation, negotiation, and focus on the noble pursuit to preserve a great American institution.
We must engage in a real, fact-based debate around the media rights marketing and revenue issues that are especially threatening to women’s sports and Olympic sports. 100% of the data provided by our group is backed by deep, well-informed research, empirical study, and are supported by media experts across the industry. Furthermore, everything said yesterday was factual.
Any opinion (or individual) that is driven by personal financial motives or by desire to maintain control and power should be excluded from the debate. Singular focus should be on the best interest and well-being of the student athletes, the fans, the communities, and the national benefit gained through college sports.
We are here to battle for the kids - at the big schools, the small schools, the revenue sports, the Olympic athletes, and the female athletes. We are in it for the young people who receive their only real chance in life through opportunity that sports provide.
We will wholeheartedly and earnestly engage with anyone who wants to solve the serious threats facing the system, and will work tirelessly to find ways to end the cuts being made to women’s sports and non-revenue sports. But don’t doubt for a second that we will fight with every ounce of grit, determination, resources, and influence we can muster against anyone who is cold-hearted enough to take opportunity away from a kid in order to make a buck!
WE WILL SAVE COLLEGE SPORTS!!

Americans are overwhelmingly aligned with the objectives and directives of President Trump’s Executive order on College Sports: Preserve Women’s Sports, Preserve Olympic Sports, and Protect smaller and lower profile schools and the opportunities they provide to hundreds of thousands of young people.
1,200 Registered American Voters were polled by Fabrizio Ward and Impact Research August 24th-27th. When asked whether they agree or disagree with the following statements, these were the responses:
Women’s college sports and Olympic sports like Wrestling, Swimming, Track, Softball and Softball all need to be preserved and protected: 85% Agree
It is important to preserve the value that smaller and lower profile college sports programs bring to their communities and to their athletes: 85% Agree
There is value in regional in-state rivalries between colleges: 80% Agree
Education and Graduation should be the top priority for Student Athletes: 93% Agree
There should be simple changes in the law to provide the necessary funding for college athletics through increased media revenue rather than relying on academic funds or taxpayer dollars: 70% Agree
Unfortunately, the Score Act, as currently written, will destroy women’s and Olympic sports, and will permanently relegate smaller schools to irrelevance - will put many of them completely out of business. This bill will soon reach the House floor - it’s being rammed through at breakneck pace by lobbyists for the richest and most powerful conferences. Let’s slow down, have a real debate, an honest discussion, and craft a bill that reflects the priorities of the American Public!! We owe it to the great American institution college athletics, and owe it to the 500,00 Student Athletes who benefit from the incredible opportunity it provides!!
Since it seems to be a day for bold predictions. How about these for Saturday Nov 8, for the BYU game:
ESPN College Game Day comes to Lubbock.
Patrick Mahomes in attendance during his off week.
Cody Campbell invites his good friend Donald Trump to the game.
Moving into the residence halls is one of the special rituals that mark the start of a new academic year. To all the new @TexasTech Red Raiders and your families-welcome to the Texas Tech family. And to @TTUHousing and all who work to make this a good experience--thank you.
Texas Tech and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have entered into a landmark Cooperative Research and Development Agreement to address national security needs.
Under the agreement, the FBI will utilize university-led research and development through TTU’s Critical Infrastructure Security Institute.
This partnership positions the TTU System and West Texas as key leaders in defending the nation’s security and sovereignty, delivering innovation, education and workforce development that will protect the nation for years to come.
I am honored to serve on the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition. I am grateful for @realDonaldTrump’s focus on and commitment to Saving College Sports, and look forward to working with him and his administration on this preserving this great American institution.
As we all know, this effort goes far beyond just the big schools, big money sports, NIL and the chaos of the Transfer Portal. It’s about preserving the opportunity that college sports provide to so many, and preserving and protecting ALL of the sports at ALL of the schools.
