Yesterday, I had the honour of commissioning the 3.5km Phase 1 of the Ila-Orangun Township Road Dualisation, another major milestone in our commitment to delivering quality infrastructure across Osun State. This dual carriageway is more than a road; it is a lifeline for commerce, mobility and safety. It will open Ila-Orangun to greater investment, ease the movement of farm produce, and improve access to schools, hospitals and the palace, reaffirming our belief that development must reach every community.

This project is part of our broader infrastructure renewal agenda for Ila-Orangun and the entire state. Beyond this dual carriageway, my administration has completed over 7km of intra-city roads in Ila, while work will continue in phases to complete the entire 10km dualisation. We have also approved the rehabilitation of the following roads:

— Ikirun–Ila Road
— Ila Local Government Secretariat–Oyi Ayegunle Road
— Ajaba–Iresi Road
— The second phase of the Ila Township Road Dualisation to Idi Odan

I also assured the people that we will review the employment status of the ad hoc and part-time staff of the College of Education, Ila-Orangun, with a view to converting them to full-time employment. We remain focused on improving lives by building roads that connect communities, stimulate economic growth, and enhance the quality of life for our people.
