Celtic have reportedly offered a loan deal for Justin Devenny, despite Crystal Palace preferring a permanent sale for around £6m.

The 22-year-old is in the final year of his contract, so a loan deal is unlikely unless it includes an obligation to buy.

UPDATE: Preston North End are close to agreeing a £3m deal for Celtic striker Johnny Kenny.

It’s understood #PNEfc are offering the Ireland international a four-year deal.

Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers have also been trying to sign Kenny today, but Preston look to have won the race.

Preston are also believed to be looking for a midfielder before tonight’s transfer deadline.

@fitzy_ge It’s not just Oneill and Maloney though is it, it’s been the same old story for over 20 yrs. only recent manager who had us set up half decent away from home was Lennon. The problem runs deep. We don’t have the capabilities to go away from home and get a job done.
