After much consideration, I’ve decided to begin a new chapter in Track & Field at Cordova High School. 🐺💚 I’m excited for what’s ahead, but I remain fully committed to finishing this season strong at my alma mater.
Amazing year for the girl’s relay teams! Big PR’s at the sectional meet, & a squad full of all freshman & sophomores & only 1 senior! So the expectations for next year are high!
S/O to these young men for hitting their PR’s when it mattered most!! Anthony & Bryce are looking to come back & have a great Senior year! & The sky is the limit for sophomore Jacob Casey! Super proud of these guys!
No coach has ever MADE an athlete. However, some coaches are truly skilled at bringing out, and maximizing, what was already placed in them.
Too many PARENTS make the mistake of believing their athlete MAKES coaches. That thought process leads to devaluing strong coaching because they believe their athlete will be successful with any coach.
From what I’ve seen, parents who think like that usually end up with a talented HS athlete who underachieves.
Some of my favorite coaches are women because I relate to the fight it takes to be respected in this profession.
Pat Summitt didn’t just win—she built a standard in a space that didn’t always value her. That kind of toughness and discipline stands out.

Jealousy between Black people is not a personality flaw. It's a symptom of scarcity conditioning. When you've been taught the table is small, you guard your seat from your own brother. Expand the table. Stop guarding the chair.
