Fifteen New York sheriffs just sued her.
Not activists. Not politicians. Elected sheriffs from across the state just hauled the governor into federal court over her ban on 287(g) agreements with ICE.
She told them “bring it on.”
They did.
The law that was supposed to stop local law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration authorities is now being challenged by the very officers she tried to handcuff. They’re calling it unconstitutional overreach that strips independently elected sheriffs of their authority and puts public safety second.
