I’m proud to have signed today our formal recognition agreement for Special Advisers with Satvir Kaur MP, Parliamentary Secretary for the Cabinet Office. Special Advisers play a vital role in Government, supporting ministers and helping to protect the impartiality of the civil service. Their passion, loyalty and commitment has too often been taken for granted in the past. Our recognition agreement will ensure that the FDA can act as their collective voice as we do for all our members.
The idea that the government has no money to spend is always untrue in the UK where we are ultimately solely dependent on the government spending money into the economy and not claiming it back by way of tax to create all the money we need to keep the country functioning.
