Jordan Landel took a chance with an internship and quickly knew Firefly was the place for him! As a Spacecraft Structures Engineer, he has been an integral part of the team working on a variety of critical aspects of Blue Ghost, including “stacking the decks” and qualification testing of the landing gear system. A proud alum of James Bowie High School and @UTAustin, Jordan is living his dream, contributing to a mission that aims to push the boundaries of space exploration. #GhostRiders
From Austin to the Andes, Ben Kobe has always had a knack for getting machines moving. Ben once fixed a radiator on a road trip in Peru and helped design Blue Ghost’s propulsion system. An Austin native and @UTAustin alum, Ben is our Spacecraft Propulsion Lead responsible for fluid system design, analysis, component testing, component integration and all of the testing necessary to ensure a successful mission to the Moon. #GhostRiders
The industry said it could not be done, and we nailed it! We’re incredibly honored to receive this year’s Allison Award from the Air & Space Forces Association for the most outstanding contribution by industrial leadership to national defense with our record-breaking VICTUS NOX Mission, supporting the @SpaceForceDoD’s Tactically Responsive Space initiatives with our partners at Millennium Space Systems!
“Victus Nox proved to both Government and Industry, that (Tactically Responsive Space) can be done. It proved to our adversaries that we have the capability to do that, and it became the new standard upon which we are going to grade new providers in the future.” - Gen. Michael A. Guetlein, Vice Chief of Space Operations, United States Space Force (CSIS Tactical Space Event, Jan.2024)

Built on legacy, engineered for the future: Our Miranda engine in development utilizes the same tap-off cycle architecture as our Reaver engine with a scaled-up turbopump, fluid system, and valve tech. This flight-proven design gives us added reliability, increased performance, and 5X the thrust from Reaver to Miranda.
As we get ready to shoot for the Moon, let’s get to know the talented Fireflies from all over the world who are about to make history with our Blue Ghost lunar lander. These individuals are forging a highway to the Moon by enabling regular lunar access, advancing lunar research, and laying the groundwork for humans to have a lasting lunar presence. Stay tuned over the coming weeks as we share stories of our #GhostRiders, including their passions, innovation, and relentless drive to push the limits of space exploration.
We're not just moving fast on our Miranda engines... our Medium Launch Vehicle (MLV) structures are also making strides! The team has taken everything they've learned from Alpha's carbon composites and scaled them up for MLV. The first stage propellant tank is now on the stand at our Rocket Ranch and ready for development testing. Then we'll qualify the full-length structure next. Exciting times ahead!
That’s a wrap on showcasing our BGM1 integrated payloads! Developed by The University of Maryland, Next Generation Lunar Retroreflector (NGLR) will determine the distance between Earth and the Moon by reflecting very short laser pulses from Earth and measuring the laser transit time to the Moon and back. Stay tuned in the upcoming months as we get closer to launching Blue Ghost Mission 1! #BlueGhost #FireflyAerospace
As we celebrate National Moon Day, Firefly pays tribute to the Apollo 11 astronauts who stepped foot on the Moon 55 years ago today. The mission of Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin, and Michael Collins forever changed the landscape of space exploration and the human spirit. Firefly is proud to continue in their footsteps, starting with Blue Ghost Mission 1 launching later this year. #BlueGhost #ToTheMoon
flash giveaway for a query letter critique!
to celebrate some *cool stuff* in my life I want to help you with your query, #writingcommunity and #amquerying crowd. like, comment, and repost for entry and I'll announce winner on July 15.
We have a few more integrated #BlueGhost payloads to show before we ship for environmental testing! Next up is the Lunar PlanetVac (LPV) developed by @HB_Robotics. LPV will deploy to the Moon’s surface and demonstrate pneumatic sample collection of lunar regolith by collecting and sorting regolith within its sample collection chamber.
Great way to kick off America's birthday! The Alpha #FLTA005#NoiseofSummer team completed orbital insertion, payload deployment, second stage relight, and orbital plane change. More here: https://t.co/RlPand8NuW
