From our health camps in Nandigram I block, 5 patients were referred for care, while 11 more from Nandigram II joined them, totaling 16 citizens who have now reclaimed the precious gift of clear vision. Through free eye surgeries at Kalyani Eye Care, Nimtouri, they have emerged from the shadows of blurred existence, their eyes brimming with tears of joy and gratitude as the world unfolds anew in vivid splendour.

These moments remind us of the vulnerabilities we all share, and the transformative power of selfless service to turn despair into delight.

Our Chairperson, Hon’ble Smt. @mamataofficial has written a formal letter to the Chief Election Commissioner expressing deep concern over the manner in which the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) is being conducted.

In her letter, she highlights how a process meant to strengthen democracy has instead turned mechanical, insensitive, and intimidating for ordinary citizens. She flags with seriousness the human cost already witnessed during this exercise and raises strong objections to the harassment of elderly citizens, women voters, and even nationally and internationally respected public figures being summoned to prove their identity.

The Chairperson has underlined that democracy cannot be reduced to data points and technical checklists. Any electoral exercise must be guided by empathy, fairness, and constitutional responsibility. Treating voters with suspicion, fear, and indignity strikes at the very foundation of free and fair elections.

We will not remain silent when citizens’ dignity and democratic rights are compromised. Institutions draw legitimacy from the people, and that trust must never be taken for granted.

Following that meaningful interaction and his personal intervention, several dormant units were revived, bringing immediate relief to hundreds of families. However, certain persistent complications continue to endanger the livelihoods of thousands who depend on this vital industry.

Today, addressing the Rana Sankalp Sabha in Saltora, he firmly assured the thousands gathered that the issue is receiving the highest level of attention. Hon’ble CM Smt. @MamataOfficial is personally monitoring the matter, with all pending clearances under urgent review.

He assured that the dormant mines and stone-crushing units will be fully operationalised by March 2026, generating fresh employment opportunities for 25,000 people.

But our Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkaar will never allow Centre’s vendetta politics to stall our commitment to the well-being of every citizen. Several water supply projects are already underway in Bankura, driven by the State Government’s determination to bring relief to every household.

Today, at the Rana Sankalp Sabha in Saltora, Shri @abhishekaitc assured that he has personally spoken with the PHE Minister. Following this intervention, the state government will install 150 additional tubewells across the district to provide sustainable access to groundwater. Furthermore, tanker services will be deployed to ensure immediate relief within the next two months.

Today, our delegation visited the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, West Bengal, to raise a powerful voice on behalf of Bengal’s migrant workers.

These are daily wage earners, construction labourers, factory helpers, domestic workers, who leave their homes and families not by choice, but by necessity to survive. For them, returning to their native villages for SIR hearings is a devastating blow:
