Two foreign nationals arrested with crystal meth worth R250,000 in Edenvale:

A joint operation by the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Intervention Unit and the SAPS Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) led to the arrest of two foreign nationals in Edenvale after intelligence linked two properties in Acasia Estate to drug dealing.

Police seized more than 1.2kg of crystal meth with an estimated street value of R250,000.

A 48-year-old suspect was found with 162.21g of crushed crystal meth worth about R150,000, while a 27-year-old suspect was arrested at a second property with 1,071.33g of uncrushed crystal meth valued at approximately R100,000.

Both suspects have been charged with possession of illicit substances and will
appear in the Edenvale Magistrate’s Court.

SANDF and SAPS Bust Foreign Nationals with Stolen Military Weapons in Pretoria

A joint operation by the SANDF Military Police and SAPS has led to the recovery of stolen military weapons and the arrest of three suspects in Mooiplaas, Pretoria. Acting on intelligence, authorities conducted two operations during June 2026. On 7 June, two foreign nationals were arrested and a multiple grenade launcher as well as an R4 assault rifle were recovered. The suspects appeared in the Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court, where bail was denied.

A follow-up operation on 17 June resulted in the arrest of a third foreign national and the recovery of another multiple grenade launcher. The suspect is due to make his first court appearance. The Military Police have vowed to continue pursuing those responsible until all outstanding stolen military weapons have been recovered and all suspects brought to justice.

This breakthrough exposes the dangerous reality of stolen military arms circulating in criminal networks.

To @JStyles — fam, somewhere around November I sent you the beat and the concept, and you didn’t even ask too many questions. You went straight to the booth and recorded. That became the very first joint on the album. We even shot a performance version at @Aokaymusic because you gave this project legs to stand on. Thank you bro, I appreciate you. And @neo for making sure we shot everything, taking us from Pretoria to Jozi and back? You don’t even know what you did for this project. Forever grateful.

#DrugBust | COSATU's parliamentary coordinator Matthew Parks, has attributed the successful interception to the work and dedication of various state agencies, including the Border Management Authority, the Department of Home Affairs and other law enforcement stakeholders.
