Two years ago, Christian nurse Vanessa Sivadge @V_Sivadge was fired from her job at Texas Children’s Hospital for exposing their illegal and immoral practice of using federal funds to cover sex-change prescriptions and surgeries for minors. This week, Vanessa won a settlement that requires the hospital to open a “detranistioner clinic” providing free treatment for patients up to age 21 who need healing from physical or mental damage as a result of gender transition procedures they received. The hospital will also pay $10 million to resolve Medicaid fraud claims, fire five physicians who performed the surgeries in violation of Texas law, and enact other reforms. 🚨 Iran spent 40 years threatening to close a strait. The US just made the strait not matter.

That's the irony nobody's sitting with.

Sec. Bessent just said it out loud: "more than 50-70% of the energy that moves through the strait now is going to go through underground pipelines." His words: "the strait is never going back to the way it was."

Think about what Hormuz actually was. ~20-21 million barrels a day. ~20% of global oil demand. ~25% of the world's seaborne oil trade. One 21-mile stretch of water Iran could threaten to shut and the entire planet would flinch.

That's the whole strategy. Cheap, geographic, unbeatable. Iran never needed missiles to move oil prices. It just needed a map.

Here's the contradiction. Saudi Arabia's East-West pipeline already carried ~60% of Saudi exports during last year's disruption, ramped to ~7,000,000 bpd. UAE's Habshan-Fujairah line moves oil around Hormuz entirely, and a parallel line is set to double that by 2027.

The weapon that took Iran decades to build leverage with is being made irrelevant by pipes buried in the ground.
