As Trump would put it, thank you for your attention to this matter!
Tehran has given the final approval to the US-#Iran deal, allegedly through Qatar, according to Al-Arabiya.
What's in the agreement according to the media outlet:
- 60-day extension of the ceasefire & reopening of the Strait of Hormuz;
- negotiations will take place regarding the highly enriched uranium during the 60 days;
- US will ease sanctions on Iran;
- a mediator will oversee whether there are violations.

Kellogg: Trump has had the patience of job with Iran. He extended negotiations and gave Tehran options, but Washington has reached the point of saying: we are done.
Bring the team home, stop the talks, and tell Iran to call when it is ready. 1/
The baked-in military costs of this war already exceed $1 trillion according to Harvard’s Linda Bilmes.
Iran’s prewar oil revenue was $50 billion/yr.
Even if Iran magically surrendered its oil without a fight, it’d still take 20 yrs to break even.
In my latest for @RUSI_org I argue that Orbán's defeat could mark a Hungarian change of course for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider Western Balkans. The question now is whether PM Magyar will turn a new page, and will Europe together with Budapest seize this opportunity.

Adoptée en mai 2024, la réforme de la gestion des flux de demandeurs d’asile entre en vigueur ce 12 juin. À Budapest, l’opinion se divise entre "capitulation" devant l’UE et adaptation nécessaire. Ma revue de presse.

#Hungary's MOL has confirmed the successful conclusion of negotiations with the #Serbia-n government regarding the shareholders’ agreement for the acquisition of a majority stake in #NIS
"Negotiations with the seller [Gazprom Neft and Gazprom] and the relevant authorities are ongoing in order to finalize the transaction", the company says, a few days after OFAC extended the license to continue work on the deal.
Belgrade yesterday said MOL had committed to continuing operations of the Pančevo refinery.
Saudi Arabia is set to resume Lebanese exports to the Kingdom.
The decision was conveyed by Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan to PM Nawaf Salam during a phone call, under a directive from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Riyadh suspended Lebanese fruit and vegetable imports in 2021, citing drug smuggling concerns, via @LOrientLeJour.
I plan on resigning in 3-4 months, #Serbia's President Aleksandar Vučić has said, and "I've begun packing things at the Presidency".

#Bulgaria has approved the purchase of seven 3D radars from company Thales for EUR 195M, funded under the SAFE program, with the French company overcoming fierce competition from Israel.
@No_name_No_user От друга страна, чудесно е, че кабинетът призовава за същото, за което призовава Украйна 😃 И че, също като нея, се интересува от сделки с оръжия.
Stoyanov's words match the expectation #Bulgaria's "new" #Ukraine policy will be far more Fico-esque than anything else. Of course, "the conflict won't be solved on the battlefield, it takes diplomacy, etc." BUT why not help our defense industry. If it's not broken, don't fix it
There's no such thing as an end to #Bulgaria's arms transfers to #Ukraine. It took Bulgaria's Defense Minister Dimitar Stoyanov less than 24 hours to clarify his statement: what's being halted is the aid, i.e. the delivery of arms and ammunition from the military stockpile. "My assessment is that we're unable to continue" these supplies, he said (not a very eccentric assessment, by the way).
Sales have been far more important to Ukraine over these four years of war.

In Tirana, protests are taking place tonight for the 10th consecutive day 🦩. The protest has already taken on a completely political character against the Socialist government & the opposition DP. Meanwhile, calls also continue for the cancellation of the Kushner-Trump project.
🇩🇪🇫🇷🇳🇱🇧🇪🇱🇺 in a new joint paper on EU #enlargement:
""The EU should have an in-depth discussion on the possibility of temporary, transitional limitations of voting rights for new Member States, in particular parts of the EU-acquis where unanimity is required," the five countries wrote, pointing to enlargement, foreign policy, and EU budget decisions where consent of all member countries is currently needed."

Not sure how sustainable this is - or flower deliveries to Latvia for that matter - but even the sheer search for new markets is a breath of fresh air right now. #Armenia
#NorthMacedonia's President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova is well aware no EU-level decision can remove member states' veto rights - and yet, 2 days before visiting #Bulgaria, she repeated Skopje was looking for guarantees. She denied looking for a face-saving move in order to continue EU integration, when asked by a journalist. The undertone, however, is conciliatory. Misunderstanding is both sides' fault and a (face-saving) solution can be found.
Can North Macedonia move closer to the EU while its dispute with Bulgaria remains unresolved?
A closer look at constitutional amendments, veto concerns, identity issues and the future of EU enlargement in the Western Balkans.

Hard to believe a Radev-led government will intentionally harm the burgeoning #Bulgaria-n defense industry. His electorate needs such messaging, though. Like in early 2022, most sales will perhaps continue through third countries.
Bulgaria’s newly-appointed government plans to stop weapons supplies to Ukraine. The country is also calling for the lifting of EU sanctions against Russia, claiming that they “harm the European economy,” said Bulgarian Defense Minister Dimitar Stoyanov, according to Bloomberg.
