Distressing news from #Hailakandi town of #Assam: 'unknown miscreants' threw cow bones at a Maa Kali temple. Heavy police force has been deployed and investigation being carried out, reports @HinduVoice_in

Hailakandi is a Muslim-majority district in Barak Valley division. It is close to the Bangladesh border and a stronghold of AIUDF, led by Maulana Badruddin Ajmal, a notorious Islamist politician who is alleged to to have facilitated settlement of illegal Bangladeshi Muslims. Ajmal owns a lucrative perfume business and is Fazil-e-Deoband (Masters in Islamic Theology and Arabic) from Darul Uloom Deoband, UP. He is also state president of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind (JUH), a body of Deobandi maulanas.
