First thing First - I am apologizing for calling this officer wrong after seeing the initial videos. I am feeling so bad right now for being taken for a ride and unintentionally tarnishing image of this officer who was going on an emergency leave. No words can express how sorry I feel right now
Secondly - You are absolutely disgusting piece of sh*t @spicejetairlines I thought you released the video so late because your employees didn't get justice. But NO. You clearly had an agenda in mind to hide your own wrong and released compromised videos to fool everyone. How shameless. How ridiculous.
Applaud these officers when they protect us on borders and then release smartly edited video to pretend victim. There should be an FIR on these two staff of yours who attacked a serving officer. I really hope he lodges one.
Social media went crazy blaming him but actual story is totally different from one you projected
ABSOLUTELY WITH ARMY FRATERNITY NOW TO #BOYCOTTSPICEJET
Eyewitness Account: SpiceJet & Lt Col Incident
It’s deeply troubling to see how biased and careless some media platforms have become—publishing one-sided stories without conducting proper investigations or making any effort to understand the complete picture. The recent coverage of the incident involving a serving Indian Army officer and SpiceJet staff at Srinagar Airport on 26 July 2025 is a clear example of such irresponsible journalism.
I was present at the boarding gate and personally witnessed the entire incident unfold. What actually happened is vastly different from the narrative currently being circulated by SpiceJet and repeated by certain media outlets.
The officer arrived alone, carrying only a small cabin bag weighing around 8–9 kg, with no check-in luggage. He was traveling on urgent leave due to a family emergency. His bag had already been checked and cleared by SpiceJet staff at the check-in counter without any issue.
However, once he reached the boarding gate, 4–5 ground staff members abruptly stopped him and began questioning the weight of the same bag that had already been approved. Despite his calm explanation—and even going so far as to remove and discard some of his clothes to reduce the bag’s weight—the staff continued to escalate the situation. I clearly heard one of them say, “Aaj army wala fansa hai,” implying they saw it as an opportunity to exploit the officer.
When he requested to speak with a senior staff member, his request was flatly denied. While he was still trying to reason with them, the gate was closed. The staff then began acting in a visibly hostile manner. A minor scuffle ensued, during which the officer—who was alone and unarmed—was clearly outnumbered and surrounded. From what I personally witnessed, he sustained injuries. The claim that he “assaulted” anyone is completely false. It appeared that SpiceJet staff first assaulted him and then he assaulted them back in Defense. Staff then rushed to file an FIR and got themselves admitted to a hospital claiming minor injuries—seemingly in an attempt to flip the narrative and escape accountability.
What’s more disturbing is how some media outlets have blindly reported SpiceJet’s version of the incident, without even attempting to verify facts or include the officer’s side of the story. This kind of selective reporting is not just unfair—it’s dangerous.
The truth is simple: a uniformed officer was mistreated, insulted, and physically handled by overly aggressive airline staff. Instead of accepting responsibility, a public relations narrative is now being carefully constructed—with the support of certain media platforms.
The public deserves to know the full truth—not a manipulated version of events. It’s critical that both sides are heard, and that justice is based on facts, not fabrications.
@SushilS27538625@flyspicejet please have patience as you expected army officer to have at Srinagar airport even when your staff attacked him. Do not have double standards
If you are a Patriot…. If your blood is pure… if you have respect for the forces…
Say loudly with me …. Repost …
Let’s stop this unethical money greedy airline Spicejet.
Stop Abusing Soldiers....#BoycottSpicejet
@DeepikaBhardwaj@flyspicejet@adgpi You must be having an agenda against Army otherwise why would you show doctored clips. Remember the day Army guys start having patience it would affect the overall security of the nation.
🔴 FULL CCTV FOOTAGE — TRUTH OVER NOISE 🔴
The unedited Srinagar-airport clip attached here shows four @flyspicejet staffers shoving, punching, and threatening a serving Colonel before he throws a single blow. The airline’s claim of an “unprovoked assault” collapses in one continuous shot:
Initiation of force: SpiceJet personnel strike first, multiple pushes and a raised fist.
Officer’s posture: Hands up, stepping back, attempting to de-escalate.
Retaliation: Only after repeated blows does the Colonel defend himself.
This is reactive self-defence, not aggression. Filing a false FIR against an officer who protects the nation, while he was travelling on duty, is unconscionable.
We stand by our soldier and demand:
1️⃣ An unconditional apology from SpiceJet.
2️⃣ Immediate withdrawal of the fabricated police complaint.
3️⃣ DGCA directives ensuring airline staff treat every passenger, especially those in uniform, with dignity and respect.
Watch the footage, judge for yourself, and share so truth travels faster than misinformation. 🙏🇮🇳

Thr inhuman treatment to the passenger wanting to board the flight with only cabin baggage a bit over permissible limit, no check in baggage is deplorable. The pax being a serving army officer deployed in Kashmir going on a short emergency leave not considered.
@rishikapoor07 Poor taste. Please check the whole story. The soldier paid extra for luggage, spicejet staff hit him twice and you expect soldier to turn other cheek. Soldiers are trained to retaliate for honour. It is clear you have anti army agenda. Ban @flyspicejet
🇮🇳 Operation Sindoor-When the war drums were loud, everyone stood with the Army.
But today, SpiceJet humiliates a serving Army Officer instead of honoring his service.
Now, who stands with our soldiers?
💔 Are you with the Indian Army or Spicejet ?
Spice Jet employees raised hand on serving soldier. What did they expect garlands.... Boycott @flyspicejet
I will never travel in this airline even tickets are free... Shame on @flyspicejet
Please take some action @DGCAIndia

Understand how much mental pressure a soldier goes at difficult areas and then has to rush home for emergency. Denying boarding despite no check in baggage resorts to blackmail. Need to make senior Spice Jet authorities responsible and accountable please
@AirIndiaX Please either stop using the name of our country or improve your services. Pathetic boarding experience at Guwahati for flight IX1594. Not expected from @TataCompanies
