Our entire staff treats every single dog here exactly like their own personal pet. It is an incredible privilege to watch a sick or terrified pup heal day by day, simply because they are finally surrounded by genuine care. As much as we love spoiling them, the greatest feeling in the world is watching them leave us for the beautiful forever homes they truly deserve. It is always a tearful goodbye, but the best possible reason to celebrate. (Yes, Anthony is up for adoption! 👀❤️)
Very lucky to find this boy in time this week.
We’ve no idea how he ended up in there but he couldn’t get out. And it was heating up fast.
He’s with us recovering from serious wounds now. Possibly a dog fight and he staggered into the hole 😬
She couldn't move after being thrown from a car. Locals heard her screaming at night from over 100 yards away in pain. The end was near for little Skye.
Just look at her now one month later ❤️
They said he scored penalties to win it 2022
Now he has 7 goals and no Penalty 🔥🔥
Messi fans we are really eating good . He knows how to make the rivals sad without talking 😂
Watch little man Ronald and young Juniper arrive at our kennel-free rescue. Someone got their zoomies on 🐕🐕🐕
Ronald was dumped in the worst kill shelter in Istanbul by his family.
Juniper was put in a bag with his sibling puppies and dumped in a forest.
These boys are only still with us because of frontline rescuers who truly care about these dogs. Welcome boys 🐶🐶
I am so sad to tell you Tommy died through the night. You will remember he had been having sticker tumour treatment since he got out of Lancram. Sadly, it has proven to be too much for his little body. Despite many rounds of treatment the tumour was still there, shrunken but there. He went to the clinic yesterday to get ready for his next round. Sadly his white blood count was really low. His immune system was shot, broken. Ramona was trying treatment to rally him and prevent sepsis, keeping him in the clinic until he was well. It was not to be. He died in his sleep through the night.
He was the sweetest, grumpiest old man. So sorry you didn't get your chance Tommy 💔 🌈 I hope you're running and playing and being grumpy wherever you are now beautiful boy.
Thank you to everyone who rallied to get him out in the first place. Thank you so much to the really kind lady who has been paying for his vet bills, offers like that don't come very often, she loved him very much too 😔
The world is a sadder place today. Run free Tommy.
In 2007, Brian Dennis befriended a stray Iraqi desert dog named Nubs while serving near the Jordanian border. After a local man severely wounded the dog with a screwdriver, Dennis cared for him until he recovered, forming an extraordinary bond.
When Dennis’s unit was unexpectedly reassigned to a base about 70 miles away, they had no choice but to leave Nubs behind. Believing they would never see him again, the Marines departed.
Two days later, against all odds, Nubs appeared at the new outpost after reportedly following the Marines’ scent across roughly 70 miles of harsh Iraqi desert and active war zone. Moved by the dog’s determination, the Marines secretly kept him in their barracks despite military regulations. Friends and family later raised $2,000 to fly Nubs to the United States.
Nubs spent the rest of his life with Dennis in San Diego, and his remarkable story of loyalty and survival later inspired a bestselling children’s book.
