@Aly_Cernika@akimymeow@HEMI6point1@ask_aubry If men took a year off from working, the world would begin to crumble.
If women took a day off, men would just take all their spots ..
And trans-women will remind you that they can be women even better than women.
You know what women can do that men absolutely cannot do?
@Aly_Cernika@akimymeow@HEMI6point1@ask_aubry And when women get the choices, they choose office jobs, caretaking jobs, fashion jobs etc.
Construction workers, firefighters, electricians, auto-mechanics, heavy equipment operators, plumbers, etc .. Like 99% men. You'll never see women racing for these jobs.
@Aly_Cernika@akimymeow@HEMI6point1@ask_aubry The fact of the matter is, women have thought they've had no choice, but nowadays they have far more choices than men.
For us men, we cannot be replaced in the rough and tough work fields. It's either men do it or no one does it.
Women are the ones that opt to do whatever.
@Aly_Cernika@akimymeow@HEMI6point1@ask_aubry It's ingrained, not because of some arbitrary thing or social conditioning .. But because it is actually ingrained in our DNA.
And there is no world where in which women will generally choose to be builders and providers and men be nurturers and home makers.
@Aly_Cernika@akimymeow@HEMI6point1@ask_aubry Modern technology has made it easier for roles to be interchangeable, and yet even in the countries with the highest quality of lives, women and men still choose roles suited to our differences.
And don't ignore the 200,000 years of human existence, for just the last 100 years.
@Aly_Cernika@akimymeow@HEMI6point1@ask_aubry I think what's most important, is that we understand that men and women are different and better suited for different things.
Women will always be nurturers. It's been the greatest contribution of women to society, and men have always been builders and providers.
@Aly_Cernika@akimymeow@HEMI6point1@ask_aubry What may not be temporary or "short" is any long term harm or damage suffered from pregnancy .. And also .. Remember that women have periods practically every month, and harmonal issues otherwise.
All of this made women unfit to be hunters, or do any strenuous labour in general.
@Aly_Cernika@akimymeow@HEMI6point1@ask_aubry Didn't say women can't do it. It's just best that men do it. Especially in primitive times where you couldn't afford to lose even a day of hunting, not to mention 9+ months.
A softer, digital world just opened up avenues for women, it's a very recent and modern thing
@HoneydewHyena@akimymeow@HEMI6point1@ask_aubry Women and men can be held back in different ways.
Women can be held back with developing her careers.
And men can be held back from developing a proper and strong relationship with his children.
So yes. We are held back in other ways outside of "just paying bills".
@HoneydewHyena@akimymeow@HEMI6point1@ask_aubry Well "paying bills" can be extended to several arduous tasks, because money isn't easy to come by, especially for me.
And for most of the things you listed, men still play a role, just a smaller one in early childhood, but we takeover for late childhood ..
And held back?
@Aly_Cernika@akimymeow@HEMI6point1@ask_aubry Mhmm. But there are men who wish to be treated as a human being, but are used as objects for money .. In the same way there are women who wished to be treated as a human being, but is used as an object for sex.
Both of which, we should mitigate.
@Aly_Cernika@akimymeow@HEMI6point1@ask_aubry Not to mention, society will crumble with the loss of women in large numbers.
Men can go out, catch and die from diseases, drown, go to war, get mauled by an animal and society can still repopulate and thrive at a decent pace.
If we lose our women, we're doomed.
@Aly_Cernika@akimymeow@HEMI6point1@ask_aubry This isn't some kinda historical thing to be disproven.
It's something you can see in reality .. With your own eyes.
Women, have children. And need to recover when they do. Women are also generally not as fast or strong as men.
So men are better suited to have been hunters.
@Aly_Cernika@akimymeow@HEMI6point1@ask_aubry And again, men should be expected to provide. Yes.
But men should not be treated as ATMs. In the same way women cry "treat us like people", men can be treated as a provider and person, and not like an ATM.
@Aly_Cernika@akimymeow@HEMI6point1@ask_aubry And there are those that sterilize themselves to have inconsequential sex with multiple men. Those are the women I'm talking about.
And we were death this hand, to go out and be hunters and gatherers, and women, nurtures and home makers. The opposite couldn't work at the time.
@Aly_Cernika@akimymeow@HEMI6point1@ask_aubry The "ATM" connotation comes from treating men as just objects that you pull money from, and not human beings.
The fact that you couldn't even think critically enough to understand the difference, tells that you aren't capable of any meaningful thought/discussions.
