I called LADWP yesterday because my last 8 bills have been so inconsistent. I’m talking swings of $800+ per billing cycle.

They said “we don’t really know why but it’s most likely we couldn’t get there for a reading.”

I said bullshit my meters are there and available. Then she said “then it’s probably due to a work force shortage but we don’t keep those notes. When that happens we just make an estimate and bill you. You could however, go and read the meter yourself if you know how. You just have to wait until the billing cycle comes and see in the fine print if a certain word is in bold then wait 7 days then go read it and submit a picture to us. Then we can credit you and overpayment.”

THIS IS WHAT WERE PAYING FOR?? This is corruption and bad governing looks like!!

You want ME to do YOUR work to make sure you don’t overcharge me??

How about we stop paying the execs at LADWP $700k+ per year and instead, STAFF UP and stop screwing us over.

Especially when you can’t keep water in the reservoirs or turn off power lines during a fire and then lie about it while letting my neighbors, my home and my town burn!
