Pune case is a horrific reminder prestige arrange marriages should NEVER be forced.
1. the girl was just 20yo. the guy’s dad had apparently asked girl’s family why are you rushing a 20yo into marriage and they somehow assured guy’s fam (but wedding was hastened prolly cz girl’s fam must have had some idea about girl’s boyfriend).
2. apparently Ketan himself had asked his parents if they had done background check on girl cz she was fighting a lot (life is not Instagram stories) and guys parents ignored that too.
3. then Ketan Agarwal and everyone obviously ignored signs of passport theft, 14 June attempt (and i’m sure there must be more signs).

result: 26yo is dead (undeservedly) and 20 & 22yo are ruined (deservedly). status over survival

Heard a cabinet reshuffle is on the cards.

Requesting the PM to consider swapping the ministries of Shri Nitin Gadkari and Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.

Shri Gadkari has already done more than needed work in transport, so much so that there is virtually nothing left to be done. A man with such a Midas touch, and hunger to bring change even if it's not needed, is exactly what is required in the Education Ministry, where a massive overhaul is needed.

Meanwhile, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan can be transferred to the Transport Ministry. Since the heavy lifting there has already been completed, the ministry now requires someone who won't do much, will leave things exactly as they are, and won't experiment too much. Shri Pradhan, having done remarkably little in the Education Ministry, would be the ideal candidate for the job.
