The couple from the 2024 Netflix doc “Skywalkers: A Love Story” illegally scaled the Empire State Building on Wednesday:
• Ivan “Vanya” Beerkus and Angela Nikolau were on top of the building for about half an hour, waving a giant flag that read: “When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace”
• The couple also appeared to get engaged, as Beerkus got on one knee and placed a ring on Nikolau’s finger

"Thomas and Maia [had] zero chemistry. He's so beautiful, but I was like, 'He's such a gentleman and I'm so loud. I don't think he likes me very much.’”
"Then we did that scene and he became Dodger and it was just palpable.” #TheArtfulDodger

We condemn in the strongest possible terms the shooting and killing of a woman in Minneapolis by a federal agent during immigration enforcement operations today. The Trump administration has taken the life of yet another person through the unnecessary use of lethal force - driven by its cruel, anti-immigrant agenda - and again blatantly lied about the circumstances. The growing presence of ICE, along with militarized crackdowns on protests we have witnessed in recent months, have violated the right to freedom of expression and made our communities unsafe, harming all of us. This killing, as well as all ICE-related custodial deaths, must be thoroughly investigated and those responsible for abuses held accountable. More broadly, the attack on our communities by the Trump administration must stop now.

#HeatedRivalry author Rachel Reid offers an update on her Parkinson's diagnosis and says the show's success is helping her fight the disease:
“It’s making it hard to write because I can barely control a mouse. I can’t type for very long. It’s hard for me to sit in a chair for very long. I need to figure out new ways to write. I don’t know if that will be voice to text. I don’t know if I can write that way. It doesn’t feel natural, but I need to figure out something because it is taking me a very long time to write now. But an amazing thing that’s come out of this though is Jacob was on CNN a few weeks ago. For whatever reason, the interviewer asked him about my Parkinson’s diagnosis. I thought it was kind of odd, but then the next day, one of the top Parkinson’s experts in the world reached out to me and asked if he could help me. I’ve never gotten to talk to a Parkinson’s expert. I’ve been on a five-year waiting list here because I live in a very small place. Now he’s found me a Parkinson’s expert, a neurologist, and I have an appointment in a couple weeks. That could change things for me because I’m not really getting the treatment that I should be getting. He also told me how to change my medication so I can sleep because I never slept. That change made me sleep through the night, which really helps with writing.”
