Saddened to learn of the passing of Curt Newsome - one of the more respected football coaches in the Commonwealth of Virginia - at the age of 67.

Newsome was Head Coach for 10 seasons at his alma mater, Emory & Henry. He also served as an assistant at James Madison and Virginia Tech.

At the prep level, Newsome guided Kecoughtan HS to six playoff wins, including a trip to the State Championship game in 1997.

Jesus lived 33 years PERFECTLY.
I can’t go 33 seconds.
Through sickness, pain, anxiety, depression, temptation — He never sinned once.
He wasn’t just a good teacher or godly man.
He was God in the flesh.
He took the bitter cup with YOUR name on it, climbed on that cross, drank it dry in three hours and said…
“It is finished.”
The debt we owed to God? PAID IN FULL.
