@miss_smallman @MrTs_NQTs Definitely - I think you need a topic you are passionate about to enjoy it and to make it fulfilling and worthwhile. Workload was manageable (approx 4 hours per week; a bit more at dissertation stage) but depends on your school/role/personal circumstances!

@miss_smallman @MrTs_NQTs Yes, I did my MA in Education online - Saturday mornings (3-4hrs) were prime time but sometimes it required Sunday mornings and midweek sessions too (especially during final dissertation). Happy to help if you have any questions!

Sentence-level instruction is well worth looking into. We know it can yield an effect-size of around +0.46. For context, anything over +0.4 is generally considered to have a significant positive effect on children’s writing development.

@mrsmacteach33 @Xris32 @TheWritingRevol Love this, the triangle is such a great visual for presenting ‘big picture’ and ‘zooming in’. I use it for language (themes, imagery, words) and structure (exposition, transitions, denouement) analysis; works better than a list of techniques to spot/use!

@MrNott117 @Xris32 Our students study animal farm in KS3, so I am sometimes questioned on the relationship between these two texts and how we have a ‘dramatic irony advantage’ over Priestley, writing in 1945.

Feedback doesn't need to require a teacher to sit for hours and write comments on pages. In fact, that's often one of the least effective methods.
