Tip of the cap to Rex Holt on his retirement from calling OSU wrestling on the radio. Did it for 41 years and this was his final season. Quite the run!
Been saying this. Every year theres a new trend. People complain and beg for changes. Changes are made. Refs are forced to learn new rules. We then complain about refs not making correct calls. and repeat.. This is on top of also making it harder for spectators to follow..
Idk why wrestling is obsessed with talking about every rule change possible after the tourney. I think wrestling is hard to follow because we change the rules so often. People who wrestled in college 15 years ago are now confused with calls, maybe we just chill out sometimes.
My former athletes are making noise around the country‼️
✔️ Big Ten champ.
✔️ EIWA champ.
✔️ MAC champ.
Three different schools.
All three the only conference champs from their new programs.
And one is the first conference champion in program history since the program restarted.
Going to need to get shirts from each new school. Miss all these guys, the ones at Campbell and around the country now.
In back to back seasons, Oklahoma State has seen John Smith and Mike Gundy leave the program. Both were long tenured head coaches for Oklahoma State. Wow.
First things first!
Easiest way to show our new assistant coach the Wyoming way is to get him on a horse! Mark gave Josh his first lesson, on horseback, & Josh was more than ready to saddle up. Let’s Go! #wyowrestling#cowboyup
Had this conversation a couple weeks ago. I attribute a lot of my growth and development in youth to training at multiple different clubs. A lot of these states gate keep their growth because they close their doors or restrain their athletes from going elsewhere.
Driving clinic to clinic I’ve noticed some states gate keep getting better only for their club. States like OH, PA, and NJ do not close their room to other wrestlers. They invite everyone to come train. These other states don’t want outsiders getting better and it hurts everyone.
For the wins, the championships, NCAA qualifiers, and too many bonds and memories to count, thank you @TheCoachSentes and best of luck in your next steps!
