Based on the pattern over the past 35 days—Trump's March 23 ultimatum on the Strait of Hormuz, followed by a 5-day postponement for "productive talks," then further delays tied to claimed negotiations, and his April 1 address signaling the conflict "nearing completion" while still threatening escalation—he'll likely back off again by announcing a short extension or "breakthrough" in discussions. Expect a Monday update claiming Iran is engaging constructively, pushing any strikes to allow more time for a deal, consistent with his deal-making approach.
For the record, the president of the United States is now simultaneously claiming that he has won the war, is currently winning the war, needs help to win the war, and needs no help to win the war. All to destroy the nuclear program he claims to have already destroyed last year.
