@_FoxboroForever Worst case (or best case if we don't need additional OT depth) could he develop into a Mike Washington type since their almost the exact same size?
@Pat_Thorman Imagine we only had 31 and no other picks. What's the one position we will have the hardest time filling our needs via remaining FA? OL! We can wait till day 2/3 on every other position and worst case if we miss a run there are still FA options to fill out next week.
@DanKelley66 If KCC is available it will be interesting to know how far negotiations are with PHI. I wouldn't hate it if the Pats took KCC to be in a position to only offer a day 2 pick for Brown and worst case we roll with Boutte, Dobbs, KCC.
@dfbsport@NickCRadio You can’t just assume they could have gotten Ersery at 38th. Does HOU take him at 34 knowing the Pats still need a LT? Did MIA prefer him to Savaiinaea and would have sniped us at 37? They could have traded up but then do they lose their Woodson pick?
@80kft Last year Vrabel in a press conf was asked about drafting players with injury history and he said his time with TEN has taught him to be a lot more cautious about that especially with first round picks so I think because of that you can probably take McCoy off the Patriots board
@MayeXG0nzo@daniel_rotman15 If the draft was canceled we would need to add a RT and Edge via remaining FA. The skill of the available edges far surpasses the OT. I would much rather secure a OT we feel confident in at 31 and hope an edge falls in 2nd/3rd with FA as a fall back, instead of edge 1st.
@malananah@Savageboston Tell me you didnt look at the full draft without telling me you didnt look. He had Miller going 19 and Max going 23 so there was no OT left.
@80kft@papenosmoke Also 3 of the top 12 remaining FAs are edges. If we end up picking an edge late that needs some time to develop there’s enough bodies still out there to fill our needs short term.
@NickCRadio@LO_patriots Saw mention of a '28 1st for Brown. Is full draft classes in '26/'27 + AJ Brown give you enough confidence that the '28 would be a late enough 1st to make it worth it?
@odhess@CSimmsQB@SNFonNBC@rotoworld@NBCSports i think it implies that Pats ask the eagles who they want, pick that player, and then trade them post June 1. Kind of what you see in the NBA draft.
@80kft@iSkizm but i dont see why they would risk trading him before the AJ Brown trade is finalized. If they ship him off to another team, don't take WR with a top pick this week, and then get outbid by someone on Brown we would be in an awful place.
