📌[PINNED POST]📌
Hello! I am MeatMensch, 3d modeler guy and creator of the Minerva Gems webseries. I have been working on MG for the past 10 years, and we're working on the finalized pilot right now!
I do NSFW and SFW stuff, so expect a wide range of content. I mostly do NSFW of my Gem Gals, Staurolite and Olivine. Sometimes I write or post lore about my series.
I got a Discord server, DM to get access!
Fan art of any sort of my characters is welcome and appreciated! The Contest is still under construction, but I hope to get everything in order soon.
If you wanna ask me stuff, or request something featuring my characters, check out my StrawPage!

As someone who is adept at CGI I can safely say that BM is objectly superior in look to BW in terms of quality. I don't dislike it's look. My main issue is the fact that it's a continuation of Beast Wars and the Designs are so unbelievably different it doesn't feel even remotely attached to BW. To my understanding, the crews behind both shows were very different so that contributes to this discrepancy.
If BM was it's own thing completely removed from BW I wouldn't have as many issues with it.
MINERVA GEMS LORE
The Rubrum are a mutated sub-variant of the gem species. They are naturally gifted with vastly increased strength and raw power compared to their standard counterparts. They suffer from an uncontrollable explosive rage, a gemetic curse each one is made with and use to great affect in battle. Among their ranks, any gemtype unsuitable for combat use has been discarded in favor of sheer maximization of raw destructive capacity. As such their type pool is extremely shallow compared to the full roster of the Emperium. Gone are any gems with even a hint of grace, save for the rare pearls that manage and reign in chaotic cavalcade the Rubrum horde is.
They live for the thrill of mindless violence, and their choice target, The Crystal Emperium. A foe they have waged bloody war with for the past tens of thousands of years. Their original patron Diamond, Red Diamond, befell a tragic end at the hands of the Emperium after failed diplomatic negotiations. The Rubrum, even to this day, still burn with the bloody rage she felt that very day upon her death.
Across the vast distances of space, they seemingly arrive out of no where, dismantling entire worlds and burning through all life and resources to increase their numbers. Once they are done, they drag the entire planet back with them to their hellish domain, The Veil.
Long ago their forbearers decided to escape Emperium rule. They fled to a area of space known as "The Veil", unknowingly throwing themselves into the gaping maw of damnation.
The Veil is a split in reality between dimensions, thought to have been a creation of the prior Diamond Pantheon. This realm is pure unfiltered cosmic energy. Raw immaterial radiation that corrupts and erodes anything that steps into its glow. Space Time ceases to make sense in this realm, endlessly warping and writhing over itself. Worlds near The Veil are subject to fluctuations and temporal anomalies that drag these worlds straight into its very maw. Due to the ambient energies of the realm, constant stable temperature is kept, allowing life harboring worlds to be... "safely" transported there. Though any life will be in an endless cycle of ceaseless life and endless death, constantly rotting and mutating and regenerating.
The Rubrum themselves feed off of the energies this realm produces. It's ethereal forces super charging them for their bloody campaign across the stars. The exact amount of time these unfortunate first generation of gems that ended up here is unknown. Hundreds, thousands, millions of years even. The temporal tides of the veil make scaling accurate time dilation quite difficult to calculate. However, their time there was enough to mutate them into the hellish beasts the once graceful gems became.
The world's they reign over within The Veil are utter hell holes of tyranny, subjugation, and endless suffering for the inhabitants. If you’re lucky, you die before the realm's whims take hold of you. Those unlucky enough to live, the Rubrum convert into mindless thralls to build their citadels and maintain their war gear. Others thrown into horrific "ichor pits" where their bodies are turned to raw fuel to make the next batch of Rubrum soldiers to scourge the universe.
New Emperium drip just dropped
As a unifying color, all Emperium legions wear beiges, dark browns, and black, however the accent color and armor plates color is determined by whichever patron Diamond the legion is serving. In this case, it's Green Diamond. Shades indicate combat role.
Active combat soldiers wear the tan, however ranks that are purely ones of authority whom don't see frontline combat, wear no armor and wear uniforms entirely of their patron Diamond's color.
This is the standard uniform scheme however certain more specialized legions may have more unique quirks with their uniforms. For example, Citron Diamond's forces all wear knightly ornate armor that conceals their faces with masks. they are essentially the Emperium’s royal legion so their styling reflects that.
