ten thousand followers.
for the past 4 FUCKING YEARS most of my friends (irl and online) have TORMENTED ME about me being a "niche destiny 2 micro celebrity". in lfg raids, at the fucking lunch table in high school, everywhere i went i heard it. back when it started i had maybe 3,000 followers, so saying "nah, thats at 10k" seemed like i was pushing it off to an impossibly. as impossible as it still seems, here we are. i truly have trouble comprehending how many of you enjoy my posts. i often forget what the number actually is, i default to around 4k. these past few years of sharing inside jokes and meeting so many wonderful people have been incredible. im so thankful for all of you, if youve been here since i was a furry account or if you only started interacting after end of service. i don't think my time with destiny would have been nearly as fun without you. thank you so much. <3
if alex was still here he would laugh so fucking hard and call me a microcelebrity for the rest of our lives
when alex told me he was going to die, the first thing he said after was how sad he was that he was going to miss out on the future of destiny. when he told our other friends, he was sitting in orbit buying the star wars crossover armor. In the last week of his life, when the tumors were so bad he couldnt speak or really eat anymore, i sat with him and another friend he introduced me to through the game and we spoke about old private matches we used to have for hours. In his last few days, when he was unresponsive due to all the pain meds i sat next to his bed and told him about it being the anniversary of him and another friend carrying me through whisper for the first time. I only knew alex because of destiny, he walked up to me while i was wearing a hunter hat from gamestop right before d2 came out. so many of my friends i only know because he introduced me to them. Alex loved this game as much as i did and im so thankful i got to meet him because of it,
