Beautiful whole school art project to start off our school year. Inspired by Banksy, a school with love at its heart and hope for what the year will bring. π #Meavyfamily#Dartmoor#inspiredbyBanksy
What a fabulous start to the school year. Happy children learning in a beautiful environment. A special thank you to our mystery gardening neighbour who planted up our lovely pots and hanging baskets ready for the start of term π₯°
Year 5 and 6 pupils have been working hard writing poems this week. Wonderful imagery created by imaginative language choices. Well done Oak Class #MeavyFamily
Really proud of our year 6 pupils who sang at the memorial service for a member of the village community today. They were an absolute credit to us #Meavyfamily#ruralschool#Dartmoor
Feeling thankful to a parent of a child who left us to go to secondary school last year. These lovely books arrived in school as a gift for us to use to help promote emotional wellbeing in school βΊοΈ#meavyfamily#mentalhealth
Stunning selection of art work from some of our year 5 and 6 children ready to be exhibited at the Yelverton Art Festival this weekend #flourishingcommunities#meavyfamily
We had a wonderful visit today from PC Millar and PC Spencer. The children asked lots of great questions and found out about the varied role of police officers. A big thank you to our visitors for giving up their time to come and see us @DC_Police#meavyfamily
Our theme this year is Dress to Express with everyone dressed in a way that expresses something about who they are. Each class is sharing a book that celebrates diversity. It's wonderful to see a school full of people proud to be who they are. #youbeyou#WorldBookDay2024
@vikkimarsh That is still under negotiation but we are hoping he will be collected by the mummy dragon sometime soon so he may need to stay as Baby Dragon for now π
Meet the new member of Acorn Class - our egg hatched and we have our own baby dragon! The children have taken excellent care of him, making sure that he had food, water and was kept nice and warm. Next job is making posters so that the Mummy dragon knows she can come and get him.
@nikkipsil @stchris_trust This was such a positive and affirming day for us all. Working alongside Trust colleagues to ensure the best for our children and families @stchris_trust #powerofus
Great excitement in Acorn Class today as the children discovered that a dragon egg had been left for them. They decided that it needed to be kept warm and dry so found some hay for a nest. We are now guardians of the dragon egg until its Mummy comes back....or it hatches!
