Good sir, we can skip to the end of this exchange.
Revelation 1:8 (NKJV)
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
And, lest we forget...Genesis 1, which you will say doesn't explicity explain a complete unexistence of other planets/universes....
I understand you are well trained to always frame the argument in such a way that the responses you have practiced will be relevant.
I know this for the same reason that I know you will not be swayed by any argument, you will have been well trained in convincing the unlearned and unsaved.
This isn't for your benefit, although I pray that God softens your heart and allows you to see the truth of his entirely sufficient mercy and sacrifice.
@patgotweet@asophiething Do you teach polytheism, baptism for the dead, polygamy, dark skin for lazy/bad spirit children?
All of these things are undisputedly mormon doctrine.
Understanding the nature of God's divinity is not a pre-requisite for salvation. Anyone who claims to understand his mnipotence, shows themselves a fool. If you believe the bible to be accurate, then there are only 2 requirements for someone to be saved.
Having said that, I think you missed the point of my reply. Arguing Nicene creed's relevancy is the exact field the mormons want to play on....as it's Interpretive and not declarative within scripture. Whereas polytheism is explicitly a sin.
This is tantamount to "My biggest weakness is that I care to much."
Mormonism isn't on the list because it's a doctrine of polytheism. Ergo, not Christian.
Plus, they teach that man can become gods.
Note, this does not indicative of salvation. Only God knows the heart of man.
I am not capable of condemning anyone. I reserve no rights to judgment over anyone's salvation. I believe there will be mormons in heaven, I beleive there will be some biblical scholars that won't be...because this is what the bible teaches us.
This is not about attacking the person, this is about publicly refuting false claims.
If you want to say that this is what we are not called to do, please provide your evidence.
If the mormons want to claim they are Christian, then that means they are placing themselves into the fold as brothers/sisters...which we are directly commanded to rebuke.
@jkdavis89@litterstaj "The Lord Himself does not attempt coercion in His desire and effort to give peace and salvation to His children. He gives the principles of life and true progress, but leaves every person free to choose or to reject His teachings."
Titus 1:9-13 Elders must be “Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers… Whose mouths must be stopped… Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.”
2 John 1:10-11 “If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”
Galatians 1:8-9 (on anyone preaching “another gospel”) “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”
So...yes.
Ok, I'll get blocked.
Mormons can't be Christians: They teach Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers (not the unique eternal Christ), and humans can become gods (polytheism). Bible: one God alone, no gods before/after (Isa 43-45).
And I'll add a video as a bonus.
