Representative Lauren Boebert blasted Child Protective Services (CPS) today, calling the agency's ongoing oversight of her son, Tyler Boebert, a "politically motivated witch hunt."

The congresswoman's fierce defense comes after her 20-year-old son was cited for a second time with misdemeanor child abuse without injury after his two-year-old son was found wandering outside unsupervised.

"This is nothing but a weaponized government agency trying to tear a young family apart," Boebert said in a statement. "Instead of helping a young father navigate the challenges of parenthood, CPS and local bureaucrats are spending taxpayer dollars to micromanage our family and paint a completely normal parenting miscommunication as a crime."

While critics argue the repetitive citations point to a severe lack of supervision, the congresswoman firmly directed blame away from her son's actions, focusing instead on the system. "The real threat here isn't a toddler exploring his neighborhood; it's an overreaching agency that wants to dictate how Americans raise their children," she continued.
