According to Moore’s Law Is Dead, some third-party game studios are paying Sony thousands of dollars to feature their games on PlayStation’s official social media at specific times.

The report says some developers are frustrated because those paid posts are flooded with negative comments and community notes from players mad with PlayStation’s recent decisions

It also says this could become a bigger problem for future marketing campaigns, with GTA 6 mentioned as one example if the backlash continues.

An indie developer has turned photos of his wife into one of the bosses in his upcoming Steam RPG, Billy the Hero.

Developer JOJOJOJOsoft said he needed a guardian for the game’s wedding ring, as the RPG includes a marriage system. Instead of creating a random monster, he based the boss on his own wife.

He described her as a “very gentle” person in real life, but joked that the boss “took over 20 years to incubate” before it was “ready to be unleashed.”

The game is full of unusual enemies inspired by real-life photos and everyday objects.
One boss was even created from a plate of leftover KFC.

The developer says Billy the Hero was made without using generative AI.

This is it, I'm done with Microslop Windows and I'm beyond PISSED OFF.

Windows automatically installed and turned on Screenshots and screen recording without asking my permission to do so grabbing my:

- My passwords
- My banking log in's
- Everything

I've disabled it now and deleted all the images is captured, but who knows if it is a system process that will quietly get turned on in the background next update and I sure as hell don't want to have to constantly check to see if it's on.

This is a COMPLETE pain in the ass, but starting with my laptop and soon my desktop, I'm done with Microsoft for good.

Linux Mint, here I come.

Some LG, Alienware, and Dell monitor owners have discovered that simply plugging their monitor into a Windows PC can automatically install adware without asking for permission first.

Users are mad because the app immediately starts showing McAfee pop-up ads after it’s installed.

Apparently, this happens because Windows automatically downloads companion apps for supported devices, while Windows handles the installation, monitor manufacturers decide what the app does after it’s installed.
