An Independent Look at Mecklenburg County Property Revaluation #MeckReval

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

Pay should be based on the market (what's this job worth), cost of living (don't erode market), and merit (what value have you added relative to your position). Using an arbitrary number means you are admitting a a problem or are lazy about how to address it. #MeckBOCC

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

Keep in mind that a 25% tax cut also goes to your car tax. Keep also in mind that we haven't heard from the cities yet. #meckbocc

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

@eBrianCox But what's the stretch of time that people will remember and hold a grudge? Will holding a grudge longer help or hurt or will people just forget about it by then so a higher rate can be had without political capital?

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

If I were #cltcc or #meckbocc and wanted to raise taxes, I wouldn't do it this year. I'd be a hero and go with Revenue Neutral and wring my hands saying my hands were tied. There's always next year where the pitchforks will be at the ballot boxes for someone. Don't be that guy.

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

@eBrianCox Show me a lip sync'er with good haircut.

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

@JonathanOsman Any update? If you didn't pull a permit, appeal or a neighbor ratted you out for new counter-tops then they shouldn't be there. Those things are called Discovery notices but they should only be triggered by some event.

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

@hotcakes_33 @longleafpol Not to be confused with privilege licenses which could be very expensive on the local level. Most of that has been eliminated. Mostly they are for professionals and cost $50. https://t.co/O40m4NyBu5

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

@MeckCounty Yeah, it's tough. I don't know why people find it so hard to follow the rules. I see the same thing in the recycling carts. Plastic bags holding whatever. :( It's more convenient for me to drive 25 miles if I have a trip planned for the South side. Large cardboard you know.

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

@MeckCounty It seems the self service recycling centers are concentrated on the South side. I want to be able to take something in after 4pm like I can in Park Road Park. How about adding something at Shuffletown Park or nearby?

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

@kim_alley @MeckCounty @theobserver But the lien that comes after hits your credit report.

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

@AdamParkhomenko @eBrianCox As they line up to turn in their licenses for diagnosing someone via television :)

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

@MeckCounty @theobserver Wow! That paper must have an amazing lede time. Pay pay pn Saturday to avoid Sunday publication? I guess they print them as they deliver them.

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

@DianaRuggOnTV Do you ever see photographers for adult meets? I'm getting a new lens and looking for some practice

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

@eBrianCox @CLTCityCouncil @MichaelZytkow World Class Cityism. #CLTCC

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

@elysedashew @JoeBrunoWSOC9 @CharMeckSchools Oldish but a good read. https://t.co/tQdBVgptmQ. Even well paid people are often a couple of paychecks from disaster due to things like health bills. What are the root causes of their homelessness?

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

@DianaRuggOnTV @bykaren I really enjoyed my one season of action photography for a swim team (I was begged but am mostly baseball.) EVEN I MADE FRIENDS! Picked some lingo that I cannot post here.

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

@Pappiness @eBrianCox Can Congress fund it?

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

@ESPortillo @jdanbishop @mridenhour One of those typos was funny. The other is karma for correcting someone else's typos. The universe balances itself.

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

@ESPortillo @jdanbishop @mridenhour I lost my eat when he last his too.

[Greg Kudasz @MeckReal]

@marynewsom Are you monitoring Riverbend Village? Not a lot of housing but it's a landscape changer.
