Last week, we organized a trip to a local country estate 🏡. We played some frisbee golf 🥏 and had a great time solving riddles in the corn maze 🌽🧩. The trip was rounded off with a delicious lunch 🍽️ and a sunny walk through the surrounding meadows 🌤️🌿.
Picture time📸
With autumn arriving in Konstanz, it’s once again time for our traditional group photo. We proudly present the current Mecking group @UniKonstanz!
Viola, Katrin, Kati and Stefan visited the @WineyLab@MSEatPenn in Philadelphia and gave a talk about their current research and what is done in our lab @UniKonstanz. Afterwards, the four are heading to the GRC 'Advancing Plastics Circularity' in Manchester (New Hampshire).
Excited to share that our teXirc project with DITF in Denkendorf and the Schwaneberg group @RWTH was founded with 1.4 million euros by the @VolkswagenSt. The project aims to develop recyclable fibers based on renewable raw materials.

Conference time in @stadtweimar! 🎉
Sebastian and @steffenipunkt had the pleasure of participating in the #58Katalytikertreffen. Sebastian presented a poster, and Steffen had the opportunity to give a talk on ethylene/CO copolymerization! 🧪
Thank you for having us, @DECHEMA!🙌
We’re excited to welcome Rosa, Leonie & Janika to our team! 🎉Great to have you on board!
🔬Rosa will explore catalytic conversions of polyesters.
🌱Janika joins our non-persistent renewable materials taskforce. 🥷
♻️Leonie will work on biodegradable engineering thermoplastics.
