We’re getting closer to a milestone we’ve been working toward for months.

At @medspanol, we’re transitioning away from our conventional EMR and into the system we’ve been building at MedBits.

That means our own team will be relying on what we’ve created to support real patient visits, communication, and daily clinic operations.

It’s exciting, but also a huge responsibility.

We’re taking it one workflow at a time, testing and fixing what doesn’t work before making the full switch.

Our goal is to complete the transition by the end of October.

Building software is one thing. Trusting it to run your own business is another.

That’s where the real learning begins. 🤝

What happens when a clinic owner can’t be at the clinic?

That’s a real problem we’re working to solve at MedBits.

Our first testing ground is @medspanol.

We’re onboarding a PA and RN while building the systems to help our team coordinate patient visits, follow-ups, and daily operations.

Why?

Because I still love working in robotic surgery. And I don’t want my clinic to stop growing every time I’m in the OR.

The goal is to give our team the tools and independence to run the clinic safely without needing me for every decision.

We’re not there yet. But we’re building toward it in a real business, with real patients and real responsibilities.

If we can prove it works, that’s something worth sharing with other clinic owners.

The last time I handled something like this on my own, it took me 2 days. 😂

This time, Richard had everything ready to go.

It’s easy to celebrate the finished product, but there’s a lot of work behind the scenes that makes these moments possible.

Yesterday we put our new MedBits system through a live clinical simulation at @medspanol.

The clinical team has never used the product before.

@elephant1618 joined us on FaceTime to watch the team work and see their reactions firsthand.

4 patient workflows tested.
2 minor improvements identified.

But the best part wasn’t the numbers.

It was watching Richard see his work come to life through the people who will actually use it.

We’re learning that building good technology is one thing. Watching real people use it teaches you something entirely different.
