We’re extremely proud to announce that there are now 1,600 Co-operative Party councillors.
Thank you to everyone that came out to campaign, everyone that stood on a co-operative platform, and everyone that voted for co-operation.
🚨 RECORD BREAKING:
The Co-operative Party has a record number of metro mayors as of the 2024 Local Elections.
Congratulations to all of our incredible metro mayors!
🤔QUIZ: Rochester’s City Centre Forum, has just run a lights crowdfunder with a goal of £12,500.
But why was Rochester City Centre Forum the *only* Medway town centre organisation not to get, er, £12,500 of levelling up money this week from the Shared Prosperity Fund? Was it…
Great to see its now official - we have obtained sponsorship for lights across the five towns!
Also good news of a weekend of free buses and a weekend of free parking.
Happy too to have contributed Ward funds towards the Christmas tree in Chatham 🎄 #ProudToBeMedway
Our decision to not use taxpayers money has saved @medway_council £75,000.
With a 91% cut in government funding since 2010 & £17 million gap in the budget I remain resolutely determined to balance our books even if that regrettably means further difficult decisions.

Thanks to Marston Holdings, Volker Highways & Norse Group
There is also positive news on Christmas parking & buses

This shouldn't just be the condemnation of one man, but the entire system.
So long as politicians have the final say on BBC Board appointees, it will be ripe for political interference.
One week from today you can make the difference and be part of the change.
