My patient was told last night they were dying. Whilst waiting for her family she asked if I'd stay with her she didn't want to be alone. I grabbed my paperwork and sat with her, every so often she would take my hand and smile. These moments are why I became a nurse ❤️

A Devon woman has had her hip replacement for 50 years – the longest lasting Exeter Hip replacement in the world. 80-year-old Maureen Brown, from Torquay, had her hip replacement surgery in 1971 at Princess Elizabeth Hospital in Exeter.
