BREAKING: “News Central Media Limited has taken note of the press release issued on 21 July 2026 by Mr. Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, concerning comments made by a guest, Mr. Chigozie Nnabugwu”, and removes the video clip from its social media platforms.
Today’s Date: Friday July 24, 2026
Ref: Intentional Biafra agitators will continue to remind the world of the contributions and sacrifices of MNK and MSE. Their legacy will not be forgotten.
On July 23, 2026, the International Freedom Coalition (IFC) held its inaugural gathering at the Capitol Visitor Center in Washington, D.C. The coalition, initiated through the efforts of Dr. Walid Phares and Charles Jacobs, with the support of Ayaan Hirsi Ali, brings together individuals and communities affected by jihadist violence.
The Biafra Republic Government in Exile (BRGIE)was represented by:
• Dr. Bryson Okeoma, Minister of Foreign Affairs
• Nwada Oby Ogbodo, European Representative
• Professor Chioma Okeoma, Secretary General
During the presentation, the BRGIE European Representative highlighted the continued imprisonment of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Leader of IPOB, and Mazi Simon Ekpa, Prime Minister of BRGIE, that both remain wrongfully imprisoned.
The freedom of these steadfast Biafra agitators remains a priority, especially that of the BRGIE Prime Minister, whose court proceedings are scheduled to begin in twelve days, on August 5, 2026.
May the sacrifices these two men in pursuit of freedom for Biafrans from the shackles of a Nigerian government influenced by a caliphate, inspire justice, liberty, and hope for persecuted people around the world.
May their courage, resilience, and commitment to self-determination be remembered by future generations. Iseee! Iseee!! Iseee!!!

PRESS RELEASE
Call for Nnamdi Kanu's Execution Deepens Concerns Amid Ongoing IPOB Leadership Crisis
The Head of Biafra Homeland Media, Mazi Ifeanyi, has expressed serious concern over recent developments surrounding the detention of IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the growing leadership crisis within the movement.
Reports indicate that entrepreneur Chigozie Nnabugwu, during a televised interview on News Central TV around 19 July 2026, called on the Nigerian government to execute Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, claiming that such action would restore normalcy and reduce insecurity in the South-East. The statement has generated widespread condemnation.
In response, Kanu's legal counsel, led by Barr. Aloy Ejimakor, described the remarks as reckless, unlawful, and capable of endangering the life of their client. The legal team demanded an immediate public retraction and apology from both Nnabugwu and the television station while initiating legal steps over the broadcast.
Meanwhile, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu remains in detention following his conviction on terrorism-related charges in late 2025. His legal representatives continue to challenge the judgment and advocate for his release, raising concerns over his treatment and the legal process surrounding his case.
At the same time, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) continues to experience an internal leadership dispute. The Directorate of State (DOS), led by Mazi Chika Edoziem, suspended the Office of the Leader and the position of Radio Biafra Director, citing security concerns and the need to prevent misuse of the organisation's identity. Several IPOB chapters have publicly supported the decision.
However, supporters aligned with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu have rejected the suspension, dissolved the previous DOS structure, and announced a new leadership arrangement. The disagreement has intensified internal divisions and competing claims over the movement's leadership.
Biafra Homeland Media urges all parties to exercise restraint, uphold the rule of law, avoid inflammatory rhetoric, and pursue peaceful and lawful means in addressing the issues affecting the movement.
