Hey Internet... Have we heard of 'victimisation' under Australian Discrimination Law?
Please think about consequence for targeting individuals due to their complaint to the Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) under the Sex Discrimination Act (SDA), that there could be penalties of fines and/or imprisonment regarding actions online and/or other public spaces etc.
🔶 Section 47A Victimisation
🔶 Section 94 Victimisation
(a) in the case of a natural person—25 penalty units or imprisonment for 3 months, or both; or
(b) in the case of a body corporate—100 penalty units.
(current value of a penalty unit is $330AUD - ie. 25 x 330 = $8,250 or 100 x 330 = $33,000)
There is also a requirement to prove your data/research if you do make a claim or take an action that my be deemed a breach of discrimination acts Section 87.
SDA references and the 'Unlawful Discrimination' definition as referenced in S47A of the SDA within the Australian Human Rights Commission Act 1986 screenshots below.

@sionsion@GyllKing@miffythegamer@oliviabaileymp No. The poster is flagging this to an MP. The person in the video has recently lost two court decisions in Australia for discrimination against a transgender woman.
In the original judgement (and other areas in both judgements), it was confirmed that Tickle had been provided access to the Giggle for Girls app through the AI software which approved her image.
The "blocking" of Tickle as a user occurred due to a manual process which has since been accepted by Grover that it would most likely have been herself who changed the access to the app for Tickle.

Hi Jenny,
Agreed. There are many ways someone could be believed to a woman, like having a gender neutral name for example.
The reason for the photos in this instance is that there is currently a very prominent perspective being shared by those who do not believe Transgender women could ever possibly be considered a woman by appearance by anyone if they didn't know their sex/gender identity.
I am not a fan of differentiating between 'passing' and 'non-passing' persons, but believe for the argument being waged regarding looks etc. that it shows it's not as 'black and white' or 'common sense' as is being suggested.
I appreciate the conversation in good faith.
Do you believe that the three people in the top row could be believed to be female if they haven't disclosed their sex to a potential employer, or other person in society that may discriminate against them due to this belief?
People don't ordinarily have a marking on their shirt/forehead etc disclosing sex, with or without legal document changes.

To bring some real world understanding to the realities of transgender people currently existing in society, and the protections afforded to women, and subsets of women/females regarding 'pregnancy protections'.
From the article:
"The act supports this contention because it refers to “women” in connection with pregnancy, potential pregnancy and breastfeeding, “all of which are circumstances that can only be experienced by women”."
These 6 people are ALL currently afforded pregnancy and/or potential pregnancy protections in Australia.
If bathroom laws changed, half of them would be forced to use the women's bathroom... The other half the men's....

“A former Family Court judge says it was “an extraordinary overreach” for the Federal Court to find that the ordinary meaning of “woman” includes a biological male who merely identifies as a woman in a decision now set to be challenged in the High Court.”
Sigh. The court did not “inaccurately” say that sex is changeable. The court stated clearly that it was not commenting on biology, but sex as a legal construct can be changed under existing Australian law (eg under the passport act etc.) so as a LEGAL construct sex is therefore already proven to be legally changeable for the purposes of this case.
It’s almost like people are deliberately choosing to misrepresent this case for their own personal gain or something.
Employment Minister Amanda Rishworth has left open the possibility Fair Work Commissioner Jennifer Hunt could be removed after she defended the Sex Discrimination Act and women-only spaces.

We've been quiet but busy. Last year we heard that a rich backer had bought the NSN a compound and set about finding where it was. This story we worked on with @Sherryn_G is the result of that investigation. https://t.co/2mEIgMNj6Q
@dusty_smokey@socfemoz Definitions of man woman have been there, not a definition of sex.
In the original 1984 legislation sex was not defined.
https://t.co/D9FPniREx4
@dusty_smokey The bill specifically proposes to insert a definition of 'sex'
In the history of the SDA, s4 has never listed 'sex', so the changes are not to 'reintroduce'; they are completely new.
The outcome of Lesbian Action Group Inc v AHRC might be some solace to Angus Taylor, though it’s unlikely to help him in the prosecution of the culture war he appears to be seeking over sex and gender identity. https://t.co/PE3bqAM1tD
Great point Scott, will also flag the following entities helped draft the bill as named by Ms Penfold in her second bill reading of her proposed amendments with materials to support.
