Something I find myself saying to teens on repeat right now: you are not defined by your problems. Your problems are things you have to work through, but they don’t define you. You get to grow and change and find your way, even when the obstacles feel big.
Really enjoyed our session today discussing acknowledging feelings again. Also talked about acknowledging our own feelings and knowing when we’re in the right place to interact with kids.

Also re-emphasized that all feelings are allowed. But certain behaviors/actions must be limited.
“Yes, I see you’re angry. It is still not ok to kick your sister/call her names/make her sad.”
