Google Books is becoming a desert. Its regress is real: the knowledge we were assured was both safely stored and freely available, which led libraries and schools to get rid of their books, has retreated into the shadows. The internet of 2026 knows less than the internet of 2010.
If you needed more proof that the political class is one big gaslighting machine, just consider that while almost nobody in America can afford anything, both parties are non-ironically trying to turn a national election into a referendum on a Twitch streamer
I been on twitter since 2009 and I feel confident in saying I don’t think I ever seen a person pass away and get 100% love and adoration from everyone on here—until today. (Yes, even HE said something positive about her). It’s all positive energy. Sad? Absolutely. But it’s all sunshine and love in every single tweet for this woman. Talk about leaving a lasting legacy of love 💛
#Dolly
dolly was for the kids without having children. she understood the necessity to care for the next generation regardless of if you gave birth or not unlike many. the realest through and through!
She HAD to do this cause in the beginning they were NOT trying to give the vaccines to poor people. There were cases NATIONWIDE in Pennsylvania, Colorado, Texas, and elsewhere of the rich being prioritized. She made sure Appalachia, one of the POOREST places in the US, got access.
Here’s a quietly wonderful thing I noticed:
If you talk to someone who was in choir or band at a majority Black HS, you’ll eventually discuss those annoying fundraisers for uniforms, instruments, etc. & a SURPRISING number will casually say:
“Oh, Dolly Parton paid for ours”
