Ideal interoperability isn’t just about moving data. It’s about delivering the right information, in a usable form, at the point of care. That’s how we give physicians time back.

[Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT @ONC_HealthIT]

What does ideal interoperability look like? 💡It is when information is automatically received, easy to find, and easy to use. Read our latest blog post to learn how better #interoperability may help reduce physician administrative burden: https://t.co/GB5GGUNKgr #HealthIT #PhysicianBurden

Ambient AI is scaling fast. @DeptVetAffairs is bringing it to all VA medical centers under a contract worth up to $775.72M. The more notes AI drafts, the more structured, accurate clinical data matters.

With RADV audits expanding, every diagnosis needs supporting documentation in the clinician’s own words. Medicomp flags unsupported diagnoses in real time, at the point of care, not after the chart request arrives.

A billing code isn’t a clinical diagnosis. In @hitconsultant, Medicomp CMO @medicompdoc makes the case for separating the two in the EHR, and explains why clinical detail depends on it.

New @Peterson_HTI report: AI scribes coincided with a 5% rise in Level 5 visits. As AI speeds up documentation, every code should still be supported by what the clinician actually documented.

AI can draft a note in seconds. But does the note actually support every diagnosis in it?

Medicomp validates AI output against the clinician’s own documentation in real time, before it’s saved.

Utah now requires independent evaluation of AI tools in its healthcare sandbox before deployment. For clinical AI, validation should also confirm every diagnosis is supported by the clinician’s own documentation.

The debate over medical AI keeps coming back to one question: can clinicians trust what the tools tell them? Clinical AI should be validated against evidence and kept under physician oversight.

This just in! 📰 We’re excited to announce the 2026 #LEAPinHealthIT awardees, @MedStarHealth & @Regenstrief!

The awardees’ projects are furthering LEAP goals in the following areas: (1) accelerate the use of agentic #AI solutions in clinical care/clinical trials; and (2) assess laboratory #interoperability gaps to improve small, independent laboratories' adoption and use of standard terminology.
