Beautiful instruments in stained glass!
Just a little detail about the organs: you can see that these are positive organs because two hands are required to play the keyboard, whereas portatives are played with only one hand (the other hand is on the bellow).
Join us this Thursday at 5pm when @CristinaRaurich (Schola Cantorum, Basel and @Uni_WUE) discusses 'Flos vernalis and Robertsbridge intabulation style: ornamentation, diminution and intabulation in the 14th century' 🎼

The Panciatichi codex is finally online!
This manuscript is the oldest codex transmitting the works by Francesco degli Organi, also known as Francesco Landini. #portativeorgan#medievalorgan
