@MedinaPoliceWA is happy to announce the suspect in 2+ burglaries and 1 car theft in Medina in Dec '24 was apprehended. Joint investigation captured the suspect during a joint operation on 2/27. Suspect faces 35 felony charges for crimes committed in Seattle, Medina & Sammamish.

Power crews are currently on site at NE 28th Street & Evergreen Point Road restoring power. Their next stop will be the 3400 block of Evergreen Point Road. @PSETalk's outage map shows an ETA for power restoration of 7pm this evening.

Two road closures reported due to downed trees & power lines. Power is out in several areas of the points communities, including Medina City Hall where the backup generator is also not working. Officers are making sure roadways are safe and continuing to respond to all 911 calls.

MPD successfully apprehended a burglary suspect tonight in the 8000 blk NE 8th St after a vigilant neighbor reported sounds of glass breaking. Suspect was seen inside and apprehended with the help of @BvuePD & @PoliceClyde, then booked into jail. See E-lert for more details.

MPD is currently investigating a burglary of a house under construction that occurred at 4:15pm today in the 3200 blk of 78th PL NE. Suspect pushed open unlocked door to access the house. See E-lert with more details.

Update: These images & the majority of crimes these individuals are suspected of are from the north end of Evergreen Pt Rd. We have not been made aware of associated criminal activity occurring anywhere other than the 2800 blk of Evergreen Pt Rd and areas north of that location.

We are currently investigating several crimes (burglary, vehicle prowl, theft) that likely occurred overnight and into the early morning hours this morning. Suspect photo is attached. Please call 911 if you have any information that may assist us in our investigation.

Power is currently out in all of Hunts Point and most of Medina. According to @PSETalk, there is no restoration ETA at this time. Please be careful around downed trees and powerlines. Check the outage map on their website for updates. See Medina Police E-Lert for more details.

Windstorm caused trees & powerlines to go down throughout the Points Communities. 7800 blk NE 32nd ST & 87th AVE NE @ NE 10th ST closed. In an emergency, 80th AVE NE can be accessed via the walking path that has been opened for essential traffic, but watch for pedestrians.

Medina Days 2024 starts tomorrow! Stop by our tent at Concert in the Park tomorrow night! Cheer on our officers in the pickleball tournament Wednesday! Wave at us in the parade Saturday around Medina Park and sit with us at the fireworks show that night! Drive slowly and safely!

South end of Medina is currently without power. According to @PSETalk 's website, estimated restoration time is set at 3pm. Medina City Hall is also without power and the backup generator is not operational. @MedinaPoliceWA are patrolling and here to help as needed and able!

The truck has been cleared from the roadway and traffic has resumed in both directions. Thank you for your patience!

@MedinaPoliceWA officers are currently on scene at a semi truck and trailer that became stuck in the ground in the 8200 block of NE 12th Street. Both directions of NE 12th Street are currently blocked. There are no safety concerns and we hope to have the roadway clear shortly.
