People acting like @MarkJCarney is betraying Canada because he’s looking for investment outside the U.S. are missing the entire point.

Depending almost entirely on one country for trade and capital is reckless. Full stop. Especially when that country is openly talking about tariffs, protectionism, and “America First” again. That’s not loyalty — that’s risk management.

Carney’s doing what any serious leader should do: making sure Canada isn’t boxed into a corner. Europe, Asia, the Middle East — there’s money, markets, and opportunity everywhere, and pretending the U.S. is the only option is how you end up weak and desperate.

This isn’t anti-American. It’s pro-Canada.

A strong country diversifies. A smart country plans ahead. And right now, Carney is one of the few people actually thinking long-term instead of chasing headlines.

Honestly, it’s refreshing to see someone put Canada first in a grown-up way for once.
