Very sad to hear about the passing of Oliver Walston. Great company and charismatic to the core. From ‘Send a tonne to Africa’ to ‘Against the Grain’ he made the world a more thoughtful and colourful place. It was a privilege to have known him. RIP
NO SH*T, SHYLOCK...!!!
"We don’t undertake audits of our contractors' work for litter clearance" says @NationalHways
What a massive dereliction of duty and waste of public money. Please just do a professional job for the £5.4 BILLION annual handout you get from taxpayers. @NicholasHellen
This is the first time I have seen a wheelchair user with a child in an advertisement. As representations have been heavily influenced by eugenics, one almost never sees disabled people with kids in films, TV series, or in the media in general.
This is what still stands of the cathedral at St Andrews. Oddly enough a couple of ancestors of mine are buried somewhere here. Is it just me, or is this a place still not entirely at ease with its enormously divisive and acrimonious religious history?
I would ask why @bbc (especially @theJeremyVine) gives endless airtime to George. He is invited on for any farming topic, despite having no knowledge about the subject 🤷♂️
Pitiful farmer representation so the same mistakes will happen again and again.
Talk to the people that get their hands dirty and do the work, see what they are willing to do and at what price!
Seeing that food security is a priority of yours as well, consider that impact too 1/6
There’s a really unsavoury movement going on at the moment in our farming community of virtue signalling whilst tearing apart the very industry they work in (or work with).
It is not “right wing” to stick up for farming livelihoods that are being shafted by gov and supermarkets
Trees transform streets 🌳
Next time you're walking along a tree-lined pavement - think for a moment - just how much of a difference they make...
Let's fill ALL our streets with trees 👉@treesforstreets
IMO climate change is the biggest threat to food security & farm business profitability.
Good comment from @LinesMartin - there’s no shortage of profit in the food system, just very little is allowed to reach the farmer. A priority for change.

“He makes you think I can do that! He fills me with hope, and the sense this would actually enrich my life, so why not do it?”
For #justonethingday@SheilaDillon considers the ways Dr Michael Mosley helped us see how vital good food is for a better life:

That's the artwork for the new Matthew Flinders panel installed in the market place ahead of his return to Donington tomorrow.
We created the original panel back in 2014. It was nice to get to the 'update'.

Babies born with smaller brains to women who’ve eaten poor industrial diets. Crucial story told & followed on @BBCFoodProg We started talking to Prof Michael Crawford in 1989(?) about study in E London on the link: brain-diet. His work sidelined. Now https://t.co/u544tL6gAL
