- decluttered bio summaries, which were unwieldy where individuals had crossed the floor, served in multiple electoral areas and/or on multiple bodies
- introduced a GE section at the top of the home page

That said, #MedwayElects has always been a work in progress. We're always looking at ways to update and improve. And that work doesn't stop tonight!

Like many others, we were not expecting an election to be called until the autumn.

We've been working hard on updates and a refreshed look, with an aim to go live in September.

We're now rolling back our plans so we can ready some of the updates by the time nominations close.

It's still a work in progress, although in this rollout the only thing missing is historical data on our database, but our current site is filled with too many bugs to put it off until we've hit perfection.

We'll also be busy getting things ready for the election, meaning the remaining updates currently in the works are likely to be pushed back until later in the year.

In Medway, the result was slightly different, with Labour edging ahead.

Con 41.1% (-16.3)
Lab 43.0% (+13.4)
LD 15.9% (+3)

That's a swing from the Conservatives to Labour of 14.9%.

With the results declared, @matthewinkent is re-elected as Kent's police and crime commissioner for a third term.

The full results were:

Con 44.1% (-13.7)
Lab 33.9% (+8.6)
LD 22.1% (+5.2)

That's a swing from the Conservatives to Labour of 11.2%.

Overall turnout in Kent's PCC election is 20.2%. That's a significant drop from the last election in 2021, where turnout was 31.8%.

[Gravesham Council @graveshambc]

Verification has been completed at all 13 counting centres around the county.
Turnout for the election is 20.22%
The turnout here in Gravesham is 18.17%
The count will start at 12.30pm.

We won't be at either count as, scandalously, our founder is out of the county from this evening until Mon. However, we'll be adding the results to #MedwayElects as soon as possible.
