Jesus uses the image of a mustard seed (the tiniest of seeds) to teach us that the smallest sacrifices, good deeds, and acts of faith will, with God’s grace, multiply in ways we cannot imagine. With that assurance, there is nothing “too small” or insignificant you will do today.
@nypost Idk. Why fixate on this stuff and just assume its a cover-up. Comments tend to then be anti-statist (anarchist) afterwards.
Could it simply be our government has some pretty awesome tech and we should be excited about that.
Fr. Ripperger: “Christ said you must forgive 7 times 70 times. You must ALWAYS forgive—if for no other reason than for the love of God. But you also must forgive for YOUR own sake. Everyone in heaven has forgiven everyone who’s hurt them. Everyone in hell has forgiven no one.”
Today's first reading is from St. Paul to the Ephesians. 4: 1-6.
"Brothers and sisters:
I, a prisoner for the Lord,
urge you to live in a manner worthy of the call you have received,
with all humility and gentleness, with patience,
bearing with one another through love,
striving to preserve the unity of the spirit
through the bond of peace;
one Body and one Spirit,
as you were also called to the one hope of your call;
one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
one God and Father of all,
who is over all and through all and in all."
WHAT YOUR GUARDIAN ANGEL BRINGS TO THE ALTAR DURING MASS
During the Offertory of the Mass, the bread and wine are not the only gifts being brought forward. According to the private revelation of the Bolivian mystic Catalina Rivas (whose writings on the Mass received an imprimatur from her bishop), a hidden procession unfolds at that moment.
As the gifts are prepared, guardian angels rise from beside each person present. They move down the aisle toward the altar, some carrying golden vessels filled with radiant light. Our Lady explained that these are the angels of those who consciously offer their joys, sorrows, hopes, sufferings, and intentions.
Others arrive empty-handed:
the angels of those present in body but offering nothing. Still others come last, sad and downcast: the angels of those who attend out of mere obligation, with no desire to participate.
Mary told Catalina that this is the moment when our guardian angel carries our offerings and petitions before the altar of the Lord, and that we should be generous because the Mass has infinite value.
This vision echoes older mystical insights. St. Gertrude the Great saw the Heart of Jesus as a golden altar upon which guardian angels placed the prayers and good works of those in their care, while saints offered their merits.
Padre Pio, who often lingered long at the Offertory with eyes fixed on the Crucifix, taught that this is the moment when the soul is separated from all that is worldly, and he urged his spiritual children to send their guardian angel to the altar with their intentions.
The Offertory is not a pause between the Liturgy of the Word and the Consecration. It is the Church’s preparation of the sacrifice.. bread, wine, and ourselves.. united to Christ’s own offering.
What we place in our angel’s hands in those few minutes is carried into the one Sacrifice of Calvary made present on the altar
Wow.
Not a fan of the language of the day, but the message is solid.
A meek knight, is one who fights for truth and honor, and he protects. Sometimes this is obscured by pride and hatefulness because we are fallen, but we can rise above that and return to God, who is Love. His mercy is endless, so my advice for those who wish to become good men is to humbly ask for it.
I am praying for our country, the divisiveness, and for those who "hate" the USA. Also praying for those allowing any kind of hate of others to enter their hearts. The end result of hate is eternal death.
@spencerpratt Last time I was in the San Fernando Valley they'd let the whole Sepulveda basin get over grown as well. Id never seen it that bad.
God, please protect all the people in this area.
@LifeNewsHQ To Lady Gaga,
Despite what you say, I love you.
Despite how you live and the ideology you follow, I love you.
Despite your spitefullness, I love you.
Jesus shows us the way, commands us to love one another, and it is He who is in me that makes me an instrument of Love itself.
