@JustLclay Even so, they're still the biggest and most well known organization associated with autism.
It's hard to argue they don't represent most neurotypical parents.
@JustLclay If you don't believe me, you need only go gauge opinions yourself.
Autism speaks is itself just an organization of parents whining about the fact their kids turned out that way.
@JustLclay I think you underestimate how neurotypicals feel about it.
I met a guy with his family, and his son was autistic (not crippled). He was in denial about his son being autistic because he wasn't playing with the other kids like normal. He was convinced "It's just a phase".
@JustLclay If you were a neurotypical parent, would you stop at just preventing crippling autism?
It doesn't have to be crippling for your kid to not want to play catch with you or to not play with other kids normally.
@JustLclay Ah, they will though. The neurotypical parents want to be able to relate to and see themselves in their kids, and the system wants more sheeple.
All autism is bad to them in that sense. And how will you get more Einstein's when nobody hyperfixates on physics?
