Finally got to put together a breakdown of the embroidery project I worked on with Valve and PGL for The International 2026!
A look at the custom Houdini and Blender pipeline, how it all came together for the Opening Ceremony, and additional assets created with it.
While I was in college I sent an application to Valve for a job I was NOT qualified for, hoping to find another position I could fill
This was their response. It was written by a human, & I still think about how grateful I am for it to this day 6 years into a career in gaming
Thrilled to announce I had the honour of working on The International again with Valve and PGL, an opportunity I’ll never take for granted.
The embroidery Opening Ceremony was the biggest project of my career.
Couldn’t be more grateful for the trust and proud of what we made.
My 6th The International @dota2ti with @pgldota2 and @valvesoftware, and I've now worked every color in the TI cycle: Gold at TI10, Gold again at TI15. Grateful and proud to have been part of this stage for so long. GGWP! #TI15#Dota2
It was a absolute honor and privilege to work with all the incredible creators of the Short Film Contest to help create the 10 year Short Film Celebration.
Thank u to @tsunami643 for co producing and @valvesoftware and @dota2ti for allowing this to exist

A rushdown character at her core with a few tricky moves to keep you guessing, Yasmine zips through the air hoping to land a strike to activate her lethal Bayani Mode.

Thanks for your critique, Janet. We actually tried a couple of episodes where House (Hugh Laurie) (please put the brackets in the right place) gets it right first time, but they were only 6 minutes long. NBC weren’t happy. Then we tried some where House never gets it right and the patient dies. The audience wasn’t happy.
One could apply your trenchant analysis to other art forms: JS Bach wrote 30 Goldberg variations on the same chord structure; Frida Kahlo painted 50 portraits of herself; Henry Moore, what??
The point is, or was, variations on a theme; if all you see is hospital, medical blah blah, then it wasn’t meant for you.
Nonetheless, I look forward to your first novel!
