Dolly Parton died Tuesday following a "brief battle with cancer," according to her representatives. She was 80.
“Our beloved Dolly Parton spent her life and career bringing joy, laughter, hope and integrity into everything she touched," her team said in a statement provided to Fox News Digital.
"Her unmatched generosity reached the lives of countless people whom she would never meet, yet she was always there to offer a helping hand. Whether it be the hundreds of millions of books donated through her invaluable Imagination Library or funding research that helped create a lifesaving vaccine used around the world, Dolly’s unconditional love for all people was the guiding force for her lasting impact.
"After bravely facing a brief battle with cancer, Dolly departed her Earthly life today at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center surrounded by loved ones,” the statement concluded.

God bless her soul
Life isn’t meant to be lived in a hurry. Take the vacation, book the cruise, watch the sunset from somewhere new, and order the dish you’ve never tried before. There’s something beautiful about stepping away from the noise and simply enjoying the good life. Make memories, taste new things, see new places, laugh often and remember that sometimes the best moments are the ones where you give yourself permission to slow down and just live.

My music style was inspired by emotion, life experiences, and the artists I grew up listening to. I always believed music should make people feel something real. Soul, rock, rhythm & blues, all of that shaped the way I sing and write. I never wanted to sound like anyone else, I just wanted every song to come from an honest place.
Music has always been the one thing I don’t have to explain. I can have a hell of a day, be angry, frustrated, or completely done with everything, and then I walk into a room, hear a guitar, and something in me settles. After all these years, music still cuts through the noise in a way nothing else does. It’s been there through the highs, the losses, the people I’ve loved, the people I’ve lost, and every damn chapter in between. That’s why I keep coming back to it. You don’t have to fake anything when you sing, you either feel it or you don’t.

That means more to me than you probably realize. ❤️ Knowing that the music has been there for you through some of life’s hardest moments is something I’ll always be grateful for. Music has a way of reaching places words sometimes can’t, and if mine has helped you find even a little strength or comfort, then it has served its purpose. Thank you for carrying those songs with you all these years. ❤️
Music at its best
