The rich are continuing COVID precautions like requiring masks & tests, indoor air cleaning infrastructure, & priority access to vaccines & treatments. But they're telling the rest of us the pandemic is over because they think protecting the working class will cut their profits.
Join us on Thursday at 6 pm at Tarboro Road Community Center for an open forum on police violence and to learn how you can be involved in the strategies of Refund Raleigh to divest in police violence and invest in programs of real community safety in our city!
There have been more mass shootings than there have been days this year. If you are considering coming to the US reconsider. You and your kids arenât safe here.
Instead of taking pictures of strangers in public without their consent and posting them, this is what everyone should do! This is honestly so much funnier than taking a picture of someone you donât know.
If your DEI practices donât include protections from an ongoing pandemic, youâre excluding disabled & high risk people which meansâŠyouâre not practicing equity + inclusivity
I donât know, I lack whatever mechanism it is that allows one to ignore the constant threat of illness & death from an airborne pandemic thatâs being allowed to spread uncontrollably in public places
Auschwitz "did not fall from the sky".
Auschwitz took time. The industrial murder was at the end of a long process which began with coining the idea. Words & propaganda reinforced stereotypes & prejudice. Legal exclusion and dehumanization was followed by escalating violence.
The news media often suggests an equivalence between left-wing and right-wing "extremism." People on the far left want things like access to healthcare, housing, clean air, etc. People on the far right want to round up immigrants, kill abortion providers, deny the Holocaust, etc.
Police be like âI see clear evidence youâre being harassed and stalked but we canât do shit until the person actually attempts to kill you so wait for that and if you survive give us a callâ
âYou should have multiple streams of income.â
No. Jobs should pay a thriving wage. We should have universal basic income & healthcare & housing & no one should have to work so hard to have their basic needs met.
Stop letting capitalism make you think grind culture is a flex.
House Republicans love to yell about fiscal responsibility. But their very first bill would add $114 billion to the deficit by making it easier for the super-rich to cheat on their taxes.
They donât care about balancing the budget. They care about coddling the wealthy.
I can not emphasize enough how much peopleâs refusal to wear masks & mandate masks is the DUMBEST, MOST RECKLESS, MOST INFURIATING aspect of living thru this pandemic.
@law4community Yes, I would love a house with a yard for my dog if I could afford it. Plus, the HOA for my townhouse is outrageous ($277 a month to not really do much) so I would like to get away from it. But the interest rates and housing prices are so high, I can't afford a new place.
The way people act like Covid deaths are incredibly rare while over 10,000 Americans quietly die of acute Covid each month is really, really strange. That number doesnât even take into account all the people who are dying of Covid complications months & years after ârecovery.â
Iâve never fought as hard for a story as I have for this one. It took months to find the right sources who were willing to talk and share their stories. For a while, I thought it would never publish but Iâm so glad it finally has.

Everything that is considered radical in the U.S. is normalized everywhere else.
Guaranteed health care.
Universal paid leave.
Gun control.
Does a new year mean we can stop pushing this myth and implement the bare minimum for a functioning society?
