@Hejbjornsvart@vo9oc The victims in slowthai’s case have remained anonymous and have gained nothing financially or socially. There was no “scheming”. Also, false accusations are such a small percentage compared to rapists.
@alfie_light Just because he’s found not guilty, doesn’t mean he didn’t do it. Less than half of rape cases end with a conviction. You need a lot of evidence to get the case into court, let alone the amount you need for a conviction. Look into the UK justice system in terms of SA.
@vo9oc@Hejbjornsvart To get a rape case into court, you need a lot of evidence. However, you need even more to get a conviction. Less than half of rape cases end in a conviction whereas nearly 90% of other crimes end in a conviction. See the imbalance? It doesn’t mean he’s innocent.
@lostintoluca Never said it was your fault the system is flawed, but you should be cautious to how most rape cases don’t end in convictions. Doesn’t mean he’s innocent
@Chlo_Bay @KrisVentus Less than half of rape cases end in a conviction. You should be wary of the fact it got to court in the first place. Just because he was found not guilty doesn’t actually mean he’s didn’t do the crime- rather there just isn’t enough evidence to convict.
